"Spontaneous trips are the most memorable ones." -this quote has been said and heard way too many times, but then it lived up to it's meaning when my friends and I decided to go out one Saturday afternoon. Our classes were supposed to be until 1:30 then, but our professor dismissed us at 12 noon. It may be impromptu but everything fit into place: Kim's going to stay at her grandma's condo in Sucat, Marc's parents are out for the day & I am done with the week's org work. After making some calls and deciding what we'll do, we came up with a sketchy itinerary.

It was already 5 pm when we are able to meet up at the gate of Fields Residences near SM Sucat. We immediately proceeded to the clubhouse to use the pool.

We swam, played chicken fight, tried to race from end to end, and made friends with a group of kids. Eventually, we got hungry so we decided to go out for dinner. Now if you are aware of the street called Maginhawa in Quezon City, People from the south has it's own version of it. It is Aguirre Ave. in BF Homes, Parañaque where a lot of hole-in-the-walls are located. Of course, we don't have a specific place in mind so we drove along the street for  a while. A lot of establishments are already full given that it was dinner so we decided to use Zomato to look up a budget friendly place. Food Bucket came up at the list of results so we went there.

Food Bucket is located at 146 Aguirre Ave, BF Homes, Parañaque City. They serve rice meals, pasta, all day breakfast and a variety of beverages --from coffee, tea or beer.
From the moment we pulled up on their parking space to the moment we left, the staff are really attentive. They helped Marc park the car in the narrow space and opened the doors for us. They also kept refilling our water and asked us if we needed anything else. The place is spacious and the food is good and priced just right. I recommend their fried chicken, which resembles Bon Chon's, only cheaper and juicier. I also recommend their Chicken Salpicao.

Food: 4.5/5 stars
Place: 4/5 stars (narrow parking space only serves 2 cars)
Service: 5/5 stars
Over all rating: 4.5/5 stars

After eating, we wanted to go somewhere else to chill so we went to Santana Grove in San Antonio, along Sucat Road. We went to the Starbucks there and talked some more. After all that, we bade each other good byes and went home.

It was really nice to have a break at the end of a busy week, nicer because it was spent with good company, and I'd say this was my calm before the storm for I can already foresee a lot of work's going to pile up for me for the next two weeks. Gaahhh, wish me luck.
